Mahara Ballas, Esq.
MBB Law Founder
Mahara is the founding attorney at MBB Law. She is a Brazilian national that resides in New York, well-versed in the immigration process having gone through it herself. She is an attorney licensed in both Brazil and New York and is also a New York State Certified Mediator.

Mahara began her career in Brazil working in corporate litigation supporting multinational corporations and moved to New York to pursue a Master of Laws with a focus on alternate dispute resolution. While in New York, Mahara has worked for the Brazilian Mission to the United Nations, at the U.N. Development Programme and as a certified mediator at the New York Peace Institute.

As a woman with a foot in both the U.S. and Brazil, Mahara is uniquely situated to assist individuals and businesses navigate through the U.S. Immigration system and provide cross-boarder legal services between the U.S. and Brazil. With a broad background and a focus on efficiency and resolving conflict, Mahara is also well-versed in implementing mediation services and alternative dispute resolution tools to a variety of client needs.
